VSP's record hot metal production on festive day

Visakhapatnam: Coupled with perseverance and festive fervour, Blast Furnace Collective of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) cornered glory yet again by achieving a record daily hot metal production of 8100 tonnes from Blast Furnace-one on Pongal (Makar Sankranti).
This was the best daily production by Blast Furnace-one since inception, RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant stated on Monday. VSP has an annual production capacity of 7.3 million tonnes.
Meanwhile, Atul Bhatt, Chairman-cum-Managing Director congratulated RINL Collective for achieving the record production. The previous best daily production of 8019 tonnes was achieved from Blast Furnace-one on February 18 last year.
